What is Smile Design?

Blueprinting Your New Smile

Smile Design is a treatment philosophy offered at Harvest Dental Care that creates a cosmetic treatment plan around a final treatment outcome.

With digital technology, we can virtually plan and test drive your new smile before starting any treatment.

Treatment Planning

  • 1. Evaluation

We collect digital records and our dentists will review your dental health.

    Digital Records Process:
    - Digital Photos (Face and Teeth)
    - Digital Images (Regular X-rays and 3D CT)
    - Digital Dental Models

  • 2. Planning

Cosmetic treatment must be carefully planned and sequenced including your prevention and maintenance care.

    Common cosmetic treatments:
    - Clear Aligners (Invisalign)
    - Teeth Whitening
    - Cosmetic Veneers
    - Dental Implants

  • 3. Test Smile

Advanced digital hardware and software platforms can create your new smile giving us the ability to give you a preview of the final outcome.

This unparalleled presentation experience we provide is known as a Test Drive Smile.

Holistic Smile Design

  • Alignment

At Harvest Dental Care we use clear aligners to move teeth into their desired position and accommodate for future dental treatment.

Clear aligners are great for adults to maintain your lifestyle and receive discreet treatment.

  • Colour

Improve the colour of your natural teeth to be a better foundation for crowns and veneers with Take Home Kits or In-office Care or both.

  • Shape

Cosmetically, the shape of teeth may have been affected over time. At this stage we can improve the volume, shape and edge profile of existing teeth making use of Cosmetic Veneers (resin fillings or porcelain) and Porcelain Crowns.

  • Replacement

Missing Teeth are the final piece of the Smile Design blueprint. While this stage is planned from the very beginning, it is usually the last step in the Smile Design sequence. Treatments can include dental implants, bridges or partial dentures.

  • Technology Driven

We are constantly updating our treatment protocols by making use of digital dental scanners, computer aided smile design and 3D digital dental printers.

From design to fabrication, we evaluate materials and use local labs (not foreigh outsourcing) to manufacture dental products.

  • Passionate Care

A significant portion of our continuing education revolves around our passion to deliver the best care possible. Our team of dentists are collaborative and work with each other to evaluate, develop and coordinate complex treatment plans.

Unique to You

Your smile is a very personal and unique character of your face. We understand that this is also a sensitive area where discussing your concerns can be difficult.

We believe that listening is one of the most important parts in having your satisfied with the final outcome. We take the time to learn what your end design is and then work backwards with solutions to get you there.

Test Drive Smile

Dentistry has evolved technologically and digitally to the point that we can now preview your new smile even before providing any treatment. This is an important step to understand how your new smile will appear and is also an opportunity to discuss if this is the right direction to take your smile.

Material Science

The dentists and clinical staff at Harvest Dental Care have invested significant time and learning to bring new digital technologies to our clinic including digital x-rays, digital dental scans and 3D digital printers.

However, our desire for updated materials and processes goes beyond the walls of our clinic as we have partnered with labs to provide us materials that are esthetic and strong.
