What Is the Canada Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal and national program launched in phases beginning December 2023 from The Government of Canada. It provides dental coverage for uninsured Canadians meeting specific eligibility criteria—filling a vital gap in access to care. While some may agree or disagree, we alway advocate for increasing access dental care for Canadians.
Welcoming New Patients with CDCP!
We’ve Always followed the Alberta Dental Fee Guide!
The Canada Dental Care Plan fee guide is substantially lower than the Alberta Dental Fee Guide.
While CDCP provides important access to care, its fee levels often do not reflect the true cost of delivering quality dental services in Alberta.
Patients should expect that CDCP payments may cover only part of the total fee, with the remaining balance being the patient’s responsibility.
