Will My Insurance Cover Invisalign?

Invisalign Programs at Other Clinics

Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that uses clear plastic aligners to move teeth into their correct position. While most clinics advertise that they offer Invisalign from $1,799 to $5,499, many usually charge $5,499 or more. Orthodontists typically have higher fees for Invisalign than General Dentists

Before we get started, you should know that at Harvest Dental Care, we only charge $3,799 for Complete Invisalign Treatment. This includes the clear aligner sets, take-home teeth whitening, home monitoring (Invisalign Lens and Virtual Care) and your final set of aligners. We also have flexible payment plans to make it easier to get your smile straight.

Our Top Tips for Using Insurance for Invisalign

  1. ELIGIBLE COVERAGE - The first question to ask your dental insurance provider(s) is whether you have Orthodontic Coverage. This is usually an amount of $1,500 lifetime amount or more. Remember to check any insurance you have because you can combine coverage. The second question is to ask if there is an Age Limitation. They may only cover treatments for individuals below a certain age, typically children and teenagers. Adults may have limited or no coverage under certain plans.

  2. PAYMENTS - You should be aware of how dental clinics will process payments. Most orthodontists will require you to pay up front for entire treatment. Others will require you to go on a payment plan and will send out the claim paperwork for you to chase down payments. At our clinic, we Accept Dental Insurance Payments directly. We complete the necessary paperwork, follow-up and deposit the payments when they are received. We don’t leave you trying to figure out where claims are

  3. HEALTH SPENDING ACCOUNTS (HSAs) - If your insurance coverage for Invisalign is limited, consider using funds from employer provided HSAs to cover out-of-pocket expenses. These accounts allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for medical expenses, including Invisalign orthodontic treatment. One strategy is to use HSAs that replenish for payment plans.
